Charu Deva Shastri [1896 - 1987] was a Sanskrit grammarian, well known as Modern Panini. He was also the father of the Late Sanskrit scholar Satya Vrat Shastri. A committed Arya Samaji, Pt Charu Deva Shastri devoted his whole life, and most of his earnings, to setup and run institutions of learning in remote Punjab where none existed. An academician at his core, he was the author of more than 30 Sanskrit works. He founded the first school in Urmar way back in 1943 and continued to build further two more schools in the mid sixties.
We have a rich heritage of more than 80 years of imparting knowledge and sharing the responsibility for community development. The Schools have stood the tests of time, produced highly acclaimed alumni who reached positions of eminence and glory in the fields of medicine, law, judiciary, education, commerce and top ranks in the Government. This has been possible due to Vision of our Founder Pt Charu Deva Shastri and dedication of teachers and management. We are now embarking on a journey of transformation where we will be leaders in Digital Technologies and build a robust foundation through our curriculum at a early stage of education at the school levels.
